Meet Jill

I am all about family and love spending as much time with them as possible. My 2nd passion is bringing awareness to Type II diabetes. It is near and dear to my heart. Since being diagnosed I have lost 100 pounds.

March 2007 is a special chapter in my life. It was the month my struggle to control my diabetes took on a whole new light. I reached my goal weight set by my doctor and was able to be taken off all artificial means to control my diabetes.

My diabetes is now under control through diet and exercise. With weight-loss and exercise, Type II Diabetes can be managed or prevented. My success at controlling my diabetes has led to a new found dedication and passion in educating others on how to eat right & exercise. It brings me great joy to share my story with others and in doing so inspire them to “get up and get moving!”
I am a diabetes advocate for the American diabetes association. I am a passionate public speaker with experience speaking to youth, at gyms, and at offices and now the Dr. OZ show. Sharing my message about losing 100 pounds and getting my life back! If you would like to book a speaking engagement or are interested in me sharing my story on your web site please contact me.

On April 22nd I celebrated reaching a goal of 100 pounds of weight loss. Reaching this goal right before the pageant was wonderful! I thank my sponsor and wonderful trainer Rebecca Carington for getting me in the best shape I have ever been in. You are not only my trainer you are such a wonderful friend!
Thank you all for your support and love. I am blessed to have so many
friends that care about me.

Today I received a call from a local school. It was a counselor asking me if I would come and be a part of their career day. I will be doing Mock Interviews with the youth and also be a motivational speaker giving a speech on setting goals and how to keep the goals you set. I love the trickle down affect of doing pageants as this sweet lady watched the pageant the other night and heard my story. Truly it is a blessing in my life to do the best I can to help others on my path through life. 🙂
