Speaking to the youth!

I have been richly blessed to speak to a group of youth recently about making a lifestyle change through eating healthier, doing more exercise and making wiser choices with snacks. I am so grateful to

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation for training me and giving me all the tools I need to be able to go out and speak at schools and youth groups.

I was able to share my own story and then speak on all the ways we can be healthier. They were so receptive to my message “Get up and Get Moving.”

It was a great evening and I really enjoyed my time with this great group of youth. I look forward to my upcoming events to share my message.

Youth visit “Empower me.it is “by kids for kids” movement that’s inspiring all kids to make healthy behavior changes and to become advocates and leaders for healthy eating and physical activity. It is a wonderful web site to get you on your way to leading a healthier life.

Jill, I loved your blog. You deserve to win, and not just because you are gorgeous! I am glad you are better now. And, you have made me think about being more active. Thank you!

  2. I just read your story on your website regarding dealing with diabetes. I had no idea you went through all this. My last doctor’s visit he told me that I was borderline diabetes.
I was kind of shocked because I know about 2 1/2 years ago I was the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I decided to do something about it because I didn’t want to develop diabetes. Over the course of about 18 months, I lost 50 lbs and was feeling great.
Unfortunately, over the last 6-7 months I have put about 15 lbs of it back on basically due to the fact I was traveling a lot for work and got out of my good eating habits and exercise routine.
Your story is giving me more incentive to work harder and finally get myself in shape. Thank you again for sharing your story and good luck in the Mrs Idaho pageant. You definitely deserve to win.

I read your platform and what an awesome story to share. I was surprised to learn you had put on weight as I don’t see any residual effects of sagging skin on you. You look great and I just figured you hadn’t changed all these years. I lost 30 pounds myself about four years ago due to acid reflux problems and the diet my doctor put me on not to lose weight but to keep from eating harmful foods that were causing ulcers in my throat.
